Derick van Staden

Derick is a Human Resources Practitioner with substantial Industrial Engineering and General Management knowledge. He started his career in the Gold Mines on the Witwatersrand after which he gained extensive manufacturing knowledge in South Africa and abroad in the Synthetic Diamond Industry for 16 years. During this time, he was involved in the Development and Staffing of two Engineering Companies from Development to operational status.

His Human Resources and Industrial Engineering skills then earned him a position in a National Animal Feeds Company where he became the Human Resources Director after 4 years. With his ability to develop people skills within organization’s he then became the Company Secretary of an irrigation Company which included 3 Grape Producing Farms. On returning to SA from a short stint in New Zealand, he worked in marketing in the Solar Industry. His passion for community upliftment earned him the Chairmanship of one of the largest NPO’s/PBO’s  in the Helderberg Basin.

This family man and husband is a keen sports enthusiast who loves playing golf and tennis

Rozario is an industrial psychologist who has consulted broadly to private organisations across numerous industries ranging from retailing, finanacial, mining and education. He has conducted assessments for development, recruitment and selection purposes as well as culture surveys as part of organisational development processes

 

Rozario has a strong academic background having lectured in the areas of Career Psychology, Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, Psychometrics, Labour Relations at the University of the Western Cape. Rozario’s areas of specialisation are Labour Relations, Performance Management, Organisational Development, Psychometrics and Competency Based Assessments, Talent Management, Team Building, Human Resource Management, Employee Wellness, Training and Development and Career Counselling.
